About Unique Snacks
Unique Snacks is a sixth-generation, family-owned pretzel bakery from Reading, Pennsylvania, known as the Pretzel Capital of the World. Its Daringly Different pretzels and snacks, including Splits, Knead ’Ems, and Puff Knots, are sold by distributors and retailers across the country.
What we built
Every consumer brand that sells through distributors loses margin to deductions: promotional chargebacks, fees, and allowances taken against invoices, buried in thousands of lines of paperwork that looks different from every partner. Deciding which ones are legitimate has always depended on an expert’s judgment applied one line at a time.
Orpical designed and built Unique’s Deduction Validation and Recovery Platform, an AI-native system that brings that judgment to scale. AI agents read each statement in whatever form it arrives, reconcile it to the source, and evaluate every deduction against Unique’s own programs, calendars, and past decisions, then return a verdict the team can stand behind, with the reasoning and evidence to support it. Every approval and correction becomes lasting knowledge, so the platform gets sharper with each file the team processes. The architecture is model-agnostic by design, and people stay in control of every decision.
